Light House Spiritual Center, located in a beautifully refurbished 117 year old house in historic downtown Mooresville, North Carolina, is a center for spiritual self-care, experiential healing work, and sacred practices that nourish the whole self in mind, body, and spirit.
Light House offers signature programs, classes, one-on-one services, retreats, and spiritual fellowship on Sundays, and also serves other soulful small businesses with their marketing needs through our affiliate, Light House Marketing. Light House is home to other providers specializing in complementary services, including life coaching, and we currently have space available for a couple more individuals wishing to co-op space long term!
We welcome guest speakers, workshop facilitators, and class instructors to bring unique and impactful offerings to the Light House community. It is our intention to act as beacon of Light in the Lake Norman area and beyond for those who are on a spiritual journey.
Spirituality is a search for and direct relationship with the sacred, both within religious organizations and outside of them. At Light House we think of spirituality in a context that is a blend of mystical, esoteric, western and eastern traditions, combined with personal growth and transformation. The primary focus is on the inner life of individuals and our unique connections with our Higher Power and The Universe.
To us, all of life is animated with God and Divine energy, and there is a transcendental quality to spiritual practices which is intuitive and experiential. Spirituality is an embracing of and fair inquiry into higher truths from all over the world. There is a commitment to self-examination, expression, meditation, and other spiritual practices which benefit the greater good and promote openness and higher consciousness for all. Spirituality is a highly individualized path, which hopefully leads to purification of ego-centeredness and an opening of the heart that is both life and world changing.
Short Answer: We are not a church. We are an organization with many services and offerings for personal and spiritual development.
Long answer: It is our mission to create a bridge between mainline religions (like Christianity and Judaism) and spirituality. In that vein, we do hold a "sort of church" at Light House on Sundays at 11:00. You might call it more of a "spiritual gathering" or a "place of spiritual fellowship" or a "spiritual study group" that is rooted in mysticism (being at one with God). The space we provide on Sundays is for all spiritual seekers who wish to gather together in a spirit of inquiry, inclusion, and sharing.
